I decided to do a lifestyle post today. I don't usually do these, but I enjoy them so much that I may need to start doing them 1-2 times a month! It'll be something about my home, a recipe, a workout, kitchen product review, really anything! So.....
If you don't know by now, I'm a coffee fanatic,...heavy devotee, enthusiast, addict..you get the picture. I honestly don't even drink it for the caffeine as much anymore, as I love the taste. All of the single-use cups are great, don't get me wrong, but there is absolutely nothing as tasty as freshly made coffee from just ground beans. As time went by, and my taste evolved, I wanted to really make an AMAZINGLY SCRUMPTIOUS cup of coffee that I could just sit and enjoy. It's so rare that I fee like anyone just sits and enjoys the small things anymore. So, with this machine, I have perfected making the most delicious cup of coffee and I enjoy it every morning before I head out to work, and of course on the weekends, I get more fancy with the latte art, etc. Still working on that, btw.
This Breville machine is so easy to use. No, this post is not sponsored; I just really wanted to brag on this machine and how much I love it. This is the Breville Barista Express. I think there are 4 levels to this machine/model. I got level 2 (it did what I wanted, had some bells and whistles, cool features, and was within my budget)....next upgrade though, I'm totally getting the one that tamps your grounds for you automatically AND automatically measures the temperature of the frothed milk (I mean, that's the definition of FANCY.)
The espresso that is made is so delicious. You can made so many different types of 'coffee' too, so, for example, in the morning I will make an americano since that is faster. On the weekends, I make lattes, cappucinos, macchiatos, ristrettos, you name it.
The only con I can think of is that you do have to clean it quite often. I clean mine almost every few days because of the residual water that settles from the steam and machine warming up, you have to wipe the steaming wand, and just generally wipe it down. Small price to pay though, and I don't mind. You do also have to remember to replace the water filter every 2 months, but I just set a reminder on my phone so it's super simple.
Also linking my favorite espresso mugs here, they are awesome!
Hope you all enjoyed this lifestyle post! Let me know if you would like to see more of these in addition to outfits and fashion posts.
