amazing coffee each morning with Breville

I decided to do a lifestyle post today. I don't usually do these, but I enjoy them so much that I may need to start doing them 1-2 times a month! It'll be something about my home, a recipe, a workout, kitchen product review, really anything! So.....

If you don't know by now, I'm a coffee fanatic,...heavy devotee, enthusiast, get the picture. I honestly don't even drink it for the caffeine as much anymore, as I love the taste. All of the single-use cups are great, don't get me wrong, but there is absolutely nothing as tasty as freshly made coffee from just ground beans. As time went by, and my taste evolved, I wanted to really make an AMAZINGLY SCRUMPTIOUS cup of coffee that I could just sit and enjoy. It's so rare that I fee like anyone just sits and enjoys the small things anymore. So, with this machine, I have perfected making the most delicious cup of coffee and I enjoy it every morning before I head out to work, and of course on the weekends, I get more fancy with the latte art, etc. Still working on that, btw.

This Breville machine is so easy to use. No, this post is not sponsored; I just really wanted to brag on this machine and how much I love it. This is the Breville Barista Express. I think there are 4 levels to this machine/model. I got level 2 (it did what I wanted, had some bells and whistles, cool features, and was within my budget) upgrade though, I'm totally getting the one that tamps your grounds for you automatically AND automatically measures the temperature of the frothed milk (I mean, that's the definition of FANCY.)

The espresso that is made is so delicious. You can made so many different types of 'coffee' too, so, for example, in the morning I will make an americano since that is faster. On the weekends, I make lattes, cappucinos, macchiatos, ristrettos, you name it.

The only con I can think of is that you do have to clean it quite often. I clean mine almost every few days because of the residual water that settles from the steam and machine warming up, you have to wipe the steaming wand, and just generally wipe it down. Small price to pay though, and I don't mind. You do also have to remember to replace the water filter every 2 months, but I just set a reminder on my phone so it's super simple.

Also linking my favorite espresso mugs here, they are awesome!

Hope you all enjoyed this lifestyle post! Let me know if you would like to see more of these in addition to outfits and fashion posts.

casual #ootd + 'babe' shirt

For as long as I can remember, I have loved striped shirts! You know when you just find something and you know it's "your style" and "this is very me" and you know you look good in it? One of those things is stripes for me. I don't look good in red and I don't look good in polka dots. You'll probably never see me in those so glad we got that out of the way. Some people look amazing in red or polka dots. Not me.

Anyways, I picked this shirt up at AEO and boy have they revamped their store image. I remember when I shopped there from time to time in high school, it was all about the polo shirts, preppy style, and now it's the hipster, 'coachella' festival type, vintagey/casual boho look. And honestly, I really like it! I feel like I can shop there without having to worry that I'm too old for it. I definitely feel too old to Charlotte Russe, Hollister, and still debating if I'm too old for A&F.

But - definitely loving all of their clothing lately and will be going back for more. I also recently purchased a grey tie-dye shirt from AEO as well (I did a blog post on it a while back) and still wear it so much!

Baseball Hats

Today's post is all about spicing up your outfit with a cute baseball hat. I used to hate baseball hats, but the more I've recently tried them on, they more I love them! They are so much fun! There are so many cute styles out now from sporty to vintage, so many different materials too! And you can easily hide your bad hair day. :) I like to definitely keep the look very casual if I'm going to wear a hat. I think this look looks best when paired with jeans or black jeans, sneakers or converse and a cute graphic tee or v-neck with a shirt over it (like shown above)

I've linked a few of my favorites below along with my v-neck tee and a few similar button up shirts!
