3 way Chambray

I love the versatility of the denim shirt! I've worn it 3 different ways here: tied around my waist, by itself, or over a basic tee. The material is very soft and I really like the quality of it. I've washed it a few times now and still looks like new. You can also iron it to make it look super smooth. Another way to wear it is with a pencil skirt and cute heels! What are some ways you wear this denim top?

Athletic Outfit from Old Navy

We are already almost 3 months into the new year, can you guys believe it? Who still remembers their New Year's Resolutions? LOL...I know mine was to eat better and spend less money on food and also workout and be healthier. Ok so baby steps, I've been doing better but no one can expect a change overnight! I have been spending less money on food, eating out, and making small changes to change my lifestyle for the better. Who else has been sticking to their resolutions?

I've linked all these exact pieces for you below. I really love Old Navy workout clothing. I think it's a good quality, comfortable and lasts a pretty long time if you take care of it. I like that they have all different types of workout pants, from crops to compression legging to shorts, mid-rise, high-rise, you name it. Something for everyone! Their tops are also really cute and come in a variety of different styles.

Save vs. Splurge

Thursday already! Another week almost done. So happy Friday Eve, I guess? Ok down to business. I'm sure you've probably noticed by now, I'm all about finding the deals, and looking very well put together at the same time. Professional and stylish. I want that look for less, that can't pass up deal, that more bang for my buck, the early bird get the worm....wait...nevermind. You get the idea.

Anyways, when it comes to clothes, I especially want to get a good deal since it seems like clothes nowadays don't last nearly as long as they used to. I find myself cleaning out my closet more and more often just because my wardrobe mysteriously shrinks, magically gets holes in them, and unavoidably starts to pill. Even the most expensive items pill. I HATE IT. DOES ANYONE ELSE FEEL LIKE THIS?!

So, in a nutshell, I like to splurge on investment pieces that WILL last a while and be stylish for years to come. I think it all comes down to what is important to you. Do I want to be hip every season and wearing ALL the latest trends? Not really. Do I only participate in the trends that best suit me? Probably. Or do I want to stay everlastingly classic? Definitely.

Take a gander at the pieces above. The glasses? Pretty classy, I'd probably splurge. Purse? No way. I feel it's a trend piece that won't really be in too much longer. Jeans? Definitely, it's a closet staple. Although, here's a tip. Yes, it's easy to justify spending $200+ on jeans because they're such a staple. BUT, it's also easy to find cheaper jeans that are just as good for a fraction of the price in a few places. Shirt? Hell nah. Ruffles/bell sleeves will be gone soon, so save yo money. Shoes? Personally I like to save because I go through shoes like nobody's business, and I constantly like to have fresh shoes, if that makes any sense. WITH THE EXCEPTION of sneakers. I will invest in those because I think comfortable, supportive athletic shoes are a must.

Hope you enjoyed today's post! Let me know what you think! I'd love to hear your comments on saving vs. splurging and what your favorite expensive/cheaper pieces are!

Favorite Graphic Tees

Wednesday already again! Who else is in love with this warm weather? Personally, I think it's a little toooooo soon to be THIS warm but whatever, Texas!

So let's talk graphics tees. I think I bought my first graphic tee in high school with like some huge wings on the back, it was the thing back then. (ok, not THAT long ago, I'm not that old!!) and truth be told I still have it! It's a little worn, but it definitely fits the style today especially since people are paying good money to have their new clothes look like old clothes. Holes, tears, shreds, rips, you name it. Anyways, graphic tees are a great way to add a little flair and edge to your outfit. I can easily name 5 ways to wear graphic tees right now without even thinking about it: with a denim skirt, with jeans, with leggings, with black jeans, with a denim jacket, alone with some layered necklaces, the list goes ON! I especially like this one because of the detailing on the front. How cute and fun!

Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!

Casual Weekend Outfit

Not quite sure if you've caught on, but I'm a HUGE fan of casual. Comfortable and casual most of the time is my jam. I do get fancy from time to time of course and yes, I will wear heels but on a day-to-day basis, I prefer flat shoes, sneakers and a "nice casual" style.

That being said, I like to have a variety of choices when it comes to v-necks, t-shirts, and patterned casual tees. I think I have about 12 of these shirts now and they go with everything and are a fun way to add a little pattern to your casual outfit. Target has a ton of these tees and they add more styles every so often! I'll link my favorites below and also the ones that I have. I couldn't pass up this cute cactus pattern. And the best part is they're under $14 and if you catch them on sale, I've gotten mine for as low as $8/each. They're a good soft quality and don't shrink.

Shop this outfit:

Sunglasses: B.P Retro Sunnies // Shirt: Cactus Pattern Tee // Jeans: Mid-Rise skinny jean with paint splatter detail (which I LOVE!) // Shoes: White Converse All-Stars

Also linking as a bonus, the hot tool that I use for my loose beachy waves. THIS tool, along with THIS texturizing spray is amazing and doesn't make your hair sticky!

A few more of my favorite patterned tees (all under $14):

Distressed Star Graphic Tee

Camo Print Graphic Tee (I own 2 of these!!)

Vintage Elephant Graphic Tee
